UFC 311: Makhachev vs Tsarukyan 2 Betting Odds, Tips & Live Stream MMA

The first big PPV event of the year looks set to be a great card. UFC 311 features a lightweight title fight between current champion Islam Makhachev and contender Arman Tsarukyan. The bantamweight title is also on the line in the co-main event, and there are many exciting fights throughout the card. Bet on UFC 311 with the best UFC betting odds and watch live here at Stake Sportsbook.

When & Where is UFC 311?

This upcoming UFC event is due to take place on 18 January 2025. It’s being held at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.

Major Fighters in UFC 311

Islam Makhachev

Islam has a chance to break the record for most title defences in the history of the UFC’s lightweight division. Since losing his only professional MMA record in 2015, he’s looked unstoppable, winning his next 14 fights, including 4 title fights. His overall record is now 26-1, and he has an impressive finishing rate, with 3 KO/TKOs and 7 submission wins in the UFC.

Arman Tsarukyan

Tsarukyan has a 22-3 professional MMA record with 9 wins and 2 losses in the UFC. His debut in the promotion was his first professional loss, and it was against Islam Makhachev. While he lost that bout, it did win him a Fight of the Night bonus. When Tsarukyan last entered the octagon, he won a split decision against Charles Oliveira, and he’s now on a 4-fight win streak.

Merab Dvalishvili

After losing his first two fights in the UFC, Merab went on an impressive run through the bantamweight division, winning 10 fights in a row before taking the championship belt from Sean O’Malley. Known for his high-pressure wrestling style, Merab is excellent at exhausting his opponents and preventing them from fighting effectively. However, his finish rate is very low, with just one in the UFC.

Umar Nurmagomedov

Umar Nurmagomedov is currently 18-0, with 6 wins in the UFC. He’s the cousin of former lightweight champion Khabib and has been similarly dominant in the UFC so far. Although he’s only fought one ranked opponent, Umar has been given the title shot due to how good he’s looked every time he’s stepped into the cage. His last fight was an impressive win over Cory Sandhagen.

Fight Card & Betting Odds

Main Event

  • Islam Makhachev vs Arman Tsarukyan

Makhachev is a significant betting favourite in the main fight card as he looks to defend his title for the 4th time. He’s looked better in every fight, KO-ing Alex Volkanovski and getting a submission victory against Poirier with a D’arce choke. He could easily go down as the best-ever lightweight, but it’s possible he’ll move up in weight after a successful defence.

While Makhachev will be dreaming of breaking a record, Tsarukyan is no easy fight. He’s incredibly strong in all areas of grappling, showing his ability the first time these two met. Now, he’ll have a chance to get a win back, although he’s a big underdog according to the MMA odds.

Co-Main Event

  • Merab Dvalishvili vs Umar Nurmagomedov

Dvalishvilli went on an impressive win to get his title shot, beating Jose Aldo, Petr Yan and Henry Cejudo. He defeated O’Malley by unanimous decision, mostly nullifying his striking and dominating him on the ground. However, he’s the betting underdog in this fight, as Umar will be difficult to wrestle.

Khabib will be cornering both Islam and Umar at UFC 311. Although Umar will most likely aim to keep the fight standing, he has very strong wrestling skills, as seen when he faced Sandhagen. For this reason, he’s the UFC odds favourite, even though it’s only his second-ranked opponent.

Rest of the Card

  • Beneil Dariush vs Renato Moicano

  • Jiří Procházka vs Jamahal Hill

  • Kevin Holland vs Reinier de Ridder

  • Johnny Walker vs Bogdan Guskov

  • Payton Talbott vs Raoni Barcelos

  • Jailton Almeida vs Serghei Spivac

  • Zachary Reese vs Sedriques Dumas

  • Grant Dawson vs Carlos Diego Ferreira

  • Karol Rosa vs Ailín Pérez

  • Rinya Nakamura vs Muin Gafurov

  • Ricky Turcios vs Bernardo Sopaj

  • Tagir Ulanbekov vs Clayton Carpenter
